Mildred Anna Long went home to be with Jesus Wed. April 25, 2018. She was born November 29, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA, and moved near Washington D.C. when she was in high school. 

     She married her first husband, Leonard R. Haller, Oct. 27, 1942, and he was killed during WWII in France. They had one daughter, Lynda Rae Pellegrini (husband Fred).  

   Mildred married her second husband, Rudolph W. Long, Aug. 1, 1946. They were together until Rudolph’s death in 2011. They had one son, Rudolph W. Long, Jr, and one daughter, Karen J. Perry (husband Duane). 

   The family moved from Maryland to Southern CA in 1957. Rudolph, Mildred, and Karen moved to Lodi in 1968. 

   Mildred joined the Order of the Eastern Star after moving to Lodi. She served in many positions, including Worthy Matron (twice) and Deputy Grand Matron. 

   She was a homemaker, loving wife, and mother. Mildred excelled in needlecraft arts, and won Best in Show for Counted Cross Stitch at the Idaho State Fair.

   Mildred had a beautiful voice and performed as soloist many times. She loved to travel, with her last extensive trip a month long visit to national parks with her daughters and son-in-law. 

   Her main love was for Jesus Christ and His Church. She became a member of Lodi Avenue Baptist Church in 1968. She served as a Sunday School teacher and children’s camp counselor.  

   She is survived by daughters Lynda Rae and Karen, son Rudolph Jr., eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter. 

   She was preceded in death by first husband Leonard R. Haller, second husband of 65 blessed years Rudolph W. Long, father Kenneth C. McCloskey, mother Clara McCloskey (nee Peters), and sister Eileen G. Denney. 

   Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, May 2, at Lodi Avenue Baptist Church, 2301 W. Lodi Ave with Pastor Mike Winslow officiating. Committal will follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1, at the Donahue Funeral Home from 10:00am to 4:00pm. 

   The family offers thanks to Kindred Home Care and Kindred Hospice for the loving care given to mom in her last days. A special thank you to Mildred’s honorary third daughter, Ionie Lugg, for her time ministering to mom through all her suffering with breast cancer. 

   Memorial contributions may be made to Lodi Ave. Baptist Church or Breast Cancer Research.

Karen Kay Kapp was born on April 19, 1946 and passed away on April 12, 2018. Services are private.

Edward William Hallisey, 76, long time resident of Lodi, passed away in his home Tuesday, April 17, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
Ed, also known as Ted by many friends and family, served as a military police officer in Korea and, after returning to the U.S., became an emergency medical technician in Ontario, CA in his younger days.  It was at a hospital here that he met his first, beloved wife, Donna, a nurse. They married in 1967 and had two daughters. Ed graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy in 1966 and began his law enforcement career with the California Highway Patrol. His career transitioned to Alcohol Beverage Control as an investigator in the early 1970s where he served until 1996, when he retired.  After the loss of his first wife Donna in 1986 to brain cancer, he continued raising their two teenage daughters on his own. He was there from prom dress shopping to ensuring boyfriends knew he was in law enforcement.  Seeing both girls safely off to college, Ed married again, having found his cherished second wife Judy, whom he married 1993. Ed also gained two lovely step daughters
Ed was a man who put family first, loved nature, and was an avid fisherman.  He loved a good joke or prank, sushi, celtic music, and a nice plaid shirt.  He was a master of making homemade birthday cards that didn’t always make sense, but made you laugh anyways.
He is survived by his wife Judy, daughters Lori and Michelle, step daughters Stacy and Nikki and 8 grandchildren, Griffin, Hanna, Asher, Jake, Adeline, Natalie, Graham and Alec. A celebration of life will be held at Lodi Lake, in late June.

Micah McKenzie, 13 years old, passed away suddenly after a tragic accident on April 11, 2018. He was born on February 10, 2005 in Lodi to Lisa and Edward (Sean) McKenzie.
From the time Micah was a baby, he had a smile and laugh that would brighten any room. He was funny, witty and loved telling jokes, and breaking out into impromptu song and dance. He was generous and willing to help anyone who needed it. Micah touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with.
Micah loved animals, especially his dogs Charlie and Max, whom he would walk all the time with his mom. He also enjoyed playing video games, watching YouTube, reading, skateboarding, camping, swimming and listening to music. He also loved volunteering with his mom at the Woodbridge Wilderness area.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa and Edward (Sean) McKenzie; brother, Liam McKenzie, sister and brother-in-law, Kyrsten and Nick Nikzat, grandparents, Ramona Hixson, Bill McKenzie, Cheryel Mertz and Jerry Pokert; aunt and uncles, Deanne and Brian Craig, Chad Hixson, James and Danielle Pokert, Seth and Samantha McKenzie, Jamie McKenzie and Billy McKenzie; cousins, Dylan, Jakob, Connor, Kristina, Junior, River and Bonnibelle; and niece, Amira. He is also survived by his many friends who had become like family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at Lodi Lake Park Hughes Beach Area.

Michael William “Mike” Moore was born May 16, 1970 in Lodi, CA., he passed away April 14, 2018 in Stockton, CA at the age of 47. Friends may visit Monday, April 23^rd from Noon until 4:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Celebration of Mike’s Life on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N School Street, downtown Lodi.
